This Email Continuity Specific Terms & Conditions was last updated on 21 September 2021.
The following Terms and Conditions are specific to the ReliMail Email Continuity Product/Service and forms part of the Universal Service Terms that are part of the ReliMail Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer (and have been linked respectively).
1. Definitions
The following definitions is provided digitally/electronically as a service by ReliMail through the Email Continuity Product/Service.
- “11 9’s of Data Durability” One of the most fundamental aspects of any storage solution is durability—how well is your data protected from loss or corruption? And that can feel especially important for a cloud environment. Cloud Storage has been designed for at least 99.999999999% annual durability, or 11 nines. That means that even with one billion objects, you would likely go a hundred years without losing a single one!;
- “Cloud Storage” means a model of computer data storage in which the digital data is stored in logical pools, said to be on “the cloud”. The physical storage spans multiple servers, and the physical environment is typically owned and managed by a hosting company;
- “Device” means a computer or smart phone that is connected to the internet;
- “Failover” Server failover is the practice of having a backup server (or servers) prepared to automatically take over if the primary server goes offline;
- “IP Address” means a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or a local network. IP stands for “Internet Protocol,” which is the set of rules governing the format of data sent via the internet or local network;
- “Load Balancing” In computing, load balancing refers to the process of distributing a set of tasks over a set of resources, with the aim of making their overall processing more efficient. Load balancing can optimize the response time and avoid unevenly overloading some compute nodes while other compute nodes are left idle;
- “Mail Server” or email server)is a computer system that sends and receives email;
- “Offline Processing Que” means when a device is not connected to the internet (email client) it will automatically process all content received (according to date and time stamp) when it is connected to the internet again. Data is retained in real-time on the server and distributed accordingly.
- “Real-Time” means the actual time during which something takes place;
- “Scalability” means the property of a system to handle a growing amount of work by adding resources to the system;
- “Storage Location” refers to the physical location in a geographical zone where data is stored.;
- “Sync” means to Synchronize by having the same data in two or more locations;
2. Email Continuity as a Service
ReliMail and its Products/Services are all Cloud Based and serves over the Public Internet. ReliMail is an Email Continuity as a Service (ECaaS) provider meaning that it provides the following software services under this agreement:

3. Warranties
- ReliMail warrants at least 99.999% System Availability, which is defined as % of total time during which email service connectivity on port 25 is available during each calendar month, excluding Scheduled Maintenance Window and Emergency Maintenance. For purposes of calculating System Availability, only downtime occurrences exceeding 30 seconds will apply.
- Email Deliverability: ReliMail warrants that the average of Email Delivery (as defined below) times, as measured in minutes over a calendar month, will be one (1) minute or less.
- For purposes of this agreement “Email Delivery” is defined as the elapsed time from when a business email enters the ReliMail Security Services network to when it exits the ReliMail Security Services network. The Email Delivery average time measurement for a cluster is calculated using simulated or test emails. These test emails are sent at a periodic frequency and the fastest 95% email delivery times are tracked by ReliMail to calculate the average for that month.
- Fail Over Server acts as a backup server for incoming/outgoing content.
- The Fail Over Server is always connected alongside the Primary server and acts as a secondary fail over.
- This agreement applies only to legitimate business email (e.g. not to non–solicited bulk email) delivered to valid Mailbox accounts on the ReliMail Infrastructure.
